Imagine wearing a garment that is soft to touch and drapes well. It hangs beautifully and and feels luxurious to wear.
Viscose has all of those qualities and in this fabric it has been blended with cotton and flax. The result is a fabric that looks like linen but has the drape and softness of viscose.
And in case you are wondering, viscose is a natural fibre made from wood pulp (unlike rayon that is also a natural fibre but made from cellulose). The best thing about it is that it will keep you cool.
When sewing with this gorgeous fabric, choose a style that requires drape. Suitable garments include dresses, skirts, loose trousers, tunics and blouses.
Sewing a fluid fabric like rayon and viscose can be a little tricky but our advice is to use lots of pins, cut out with a rotary cutter, use a fine needle (70/10) and reduce your stitch length (2mm). But most importantly, take your time and enjoy the luxurious feel of the fabric.

Care Instructions:
Machine wash at 30’C on gentle cycle. Cool, gentle tumble-dry or hang to dry. We highly recommend that you test a small piece first.
Preparation Prior to Sewing: In case of possible shrinkage, we highly recommend that all fabrics are washed before cutting out. Please note that many rayon/viscose fabrics shrink by 5-8% when washed.
Although we have tried to describe and photograph the colours as accurately as possible, please note that there may be some colour variation when viewing it on different screens.
We use a Gutermann Sew-All 100m thread in the photos to help show the size of the pattern.

The fabric is sold per half metre, therefore when ordering:
For 0.5m type 1 in the quantity box;
For 1m type 2 in the quantity box;
For 1.5m type 3 in the quantity box; etc
The fabric will be shipped in one continuous piece.
