This bag features a drawstring cord that doubles as a backpack, making it as practical as it is cute. Plus, the pattern is super versatile—you can easily adjust the size to fit your needs!
The finished bag measures 41.5cm (16.5″) in height and 34cm (13.5″) in width, but feel free to make it bigger or smaller depending on your preferences. This pattern has been tested and loved in our workshops, and we’re thrilled to share it with you.

Fabric Suggestions: For a smooth sewing experience, we recommend stable cotton or polycotton fabrics like quilting cottons or soft furnishings fabrics.
Materials Needed:
- 50cm x 112/137cm wide fabric OR 2 coordinating fat quarters (approximately 50cm x 55cm each)
- 4m cord or ribbon for the drawstring
- 15cm ribbon for drawstring loops
- Thread
- Safety pin or bodkin
- Sewing machine and general sewing tools
