This cushion isn’t just for Christmas! It has a simple stag applique on the front that is sewn using free motion stitching. It is also piped with the same fabric that has been used for the stag. A simple envelope back completes the cushion. Once you have made one for yourself, it will be hard not make plenty more for your friends and family.

The documents contains detailed sewing instructions together with colour photographs to enhance the written instructions. Please note that the pattern does not include pattern pieces, but gives the sizes for each panel.

Fabric A (cushion) – 0.5m x 112cm/42” wide cotton or linen fabric
Fabric B (stag and piping) – fat quarter (50cm x 55cm / 20” x 22”) of cotton fabric
Lightweight fusible interfacing – 45cm x 45cm
Steam-A-Seam – 30cm x 30cm
Size 2 piping cord – 2m
Thread – choose a dark contrast colour that will show up on your applique
Darning/free motion foot for machine
