Confident Beginner – Pick Your Project Sewing Workshop – Thursday 20 February – 6pm to 10pm

£50.00 per workshop

Have you made a few simple items and would like to take the next step?  Or maybe you would like to brush up on your sewing skills?  If so, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Join us to sew one of the following:

Matilda tote bag – sew a tote bag suitable for everyday use, holidays, picnics, shopping and lots more.

The bag is fully lined with a complementary cotton fabric and it has internal pockets perfect for phones, keys, make up and everyday essential items.  It’s magnetic closure makes it secure and it has lots of room inside for all your goodies.

Stabilising the bag with Style-Vil foam wadding helps it to stand up even when it is empty and as an added bonus it is light-weight, making the bag perfect for travelling.  Alternatively you could use a standard wadding for a softer feel.

Storage basket – we love this storage basket and the foam wadding makes them light-weight.  They can stand up on their own and have so many different uses – knitting, craft projects, toys, bathroom items and lots more.  They are wonderful to give away as gifts too!

The basket you will make measures H-29cm x D-24cm, but at the end of the workshop, as a special treat, we will give you the patterns for two smaller versions too!

Piped cushion with zip – can you ever have too many cushions?!  Our cushion workshop will teach you how to make a simple cushion with piping detail and a zip closure.  So bring along your sewing machine and let us help you make your first piped cushion.

“Thank you for a great workshop.  Relaxed, informative and creative!” Sharon

Oven gloves – join us to sew a set of oven gloves – one of the most useful gifts you can give to anyone, including yourself!  Our oven gloves are doubly quilted with insulated and cotton wadding and bias binding gives them the perfect finishing touch.

Doorstop – doorstops are great for adding a personal touch to a room.  In this workshop you will sew an attractive doorstop with a carry handle and add some simple machine applique (optional).

Sewing machine cover – look after your sewing machine by treating it to a pretty cover with a useful storage pocket.  Learn different sewing techniques such as piping and bias binding, whilst having fun at the same time.

Please let us know your chosen project in the ‘Notes’ section at the checkout.
